Um homem dividiu o prêmio de R$ 80 milhões que ganhou na loteria com um amigo 28 anos depois de os dois terem feito uma promessa. O caso aconteceu em Wisconsin, nos Estados Unidos.

Em 1992, Tom Cook e Joseph Feeney fizeram um pacto de dividir o prêmio Jackpot da Power Ball (principal prêmio da loteria local) caso algum deles ganhassem um dia.

Quase 30 anos depois, Cook acabou conquistando a bolada, e lembrou do acordo que fez com o amigo. “Ele me ligou e eu disse: ‘você está brincando comigo’”, contou Feeney para a Associated Press.

Assim que pegou o dinheiro, Cook se aposentou. Feeney já tinha parado de trabalhar. “Podemos ir atrás do que quisermos. Não consigo pensar em uma maneira melhor de me aposentar”, disse.

A chance de ganhar o jackpot da Powerball é de 1 em 292 milhões. Eles optaram por receber à vista cerca de 16,7 milhões de dólares. Casa um ficou com US$ 5,7 milhões.
