Secretário de Turismo propõe adiar Carnaval no Piauí
Flávio Júnior é médico e lembrou que ainda há registros de muitos casos da COVID-19 no Piauí.
O secretário estadual de Turismo, Flávio Nogueira Júnior, está propondo o adiamento das festividades do carnaval no Piauí. Segundo ele, a medida seria necessária levando em consideração o cenário ainda preocupante da pandemia do novo coronavírus. Para o gestor, a proposta seria o adiamento para junho, caso, até lá, a vacina contra o vírus esteja disponível, juntando com as festas juninas e fazendo um grande evento no Estado.
Flávio Júnior é médico e lembrou que ainda há registros de muitos casos da doença no Piauí. “O vírus continua circulando, já se tem notícias de uma variante e sabemos que as festividades de carnaval costumam sempre contar com uma presença muito grande de pessoas, ou seja, com aglomerações, o que não é recomendado nesse momento”, observa.
O secretário lembrou que outros Estados, a exemplo da Bahia e Rio de Janeiro, que possuem tradições carnavalescas, já falaram do adiamento das suas festividades de carnaval. Este ano, o carnaval estava previsto para acontecer entre os dias 13 e 16 de fevereiro. “O Piauí tem muitas cidades com tradições carnavalescas, a exemplo de Luís Correia, Barras, Água Branca, União e Floriano, por exemplo. São cidades que costumam trazer bandas nacionais e atraem um grande público, não apenas do Piauí, mas também de outros Estados. O momento é de continuar com cautela, adotando os cuidados necessários para evitarmos que tenhamos ainda mais casos de pessoas com o vírus e até mesmo óbitos”, avalia.
O assunto será discutido com o Governador que, em dezembro, seguindo orientações do Comitê de Operações Emergenciais em Saúde (COE), já havia dado orientações para que não houvesse as festividades de réveillon. No litoral piauiense, por exemplo, eram comuns as festas, inclusive com o apoio da Secretaria Estadual de Turismo para fomentar o setor no Estado. “Discutiremos com os prefeitos dessas cidades também para avaliar um momento oportuno para que essas festas possam voltar a acontecer, mas em segurança”, finaliza o secretário.
