ACâmara de Comércio Exterior (Camex), do Ministério da Economia, zerou o Imposto de Importação de pneus para veículos de carga. Em reunião do Comitê Executivo de Gestão (Gecex) – núcleo colegiado da Camex – foi aprovada a alteração da alíquota com o objetivo de contribuir para a redução dos custos operacionais do transporte rodoviário de cargas no Brasil.
A medida atende a uma solicitação do Ministério da Infraestrutura, tendo em vista a participação do Transportador Rodoviário de Cargas (TRC) na matriz de transportes do país e as dificuldades do setor decorrentes da restrição econômica ocasionada pela Covid-19.
O Gecex levou em consideração informações recebidas das empresas do setor indicando que a demanda adicional à oferta, o aumento dos preços das commodities no mercado internacional e a variação cambial no país têm pressionado fortemente os preços dos pneus no mercado nacional.
A alteração abrange itens classificados no código 4011.20.90 da Nomenclatura Comum do Mercosul (NCM) – Pneumáticos novos, de borracha, dos tipos utilizados em caminhões –, que, em 2020, registraram importações no valor de US$ 141,8 milhões, com mais de 1,28 milhão de unidades, segundo dados da Secretaria de Comércio Exterior (Secex), do Ministério da Economia.
